Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Codebase Engineering ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TankCode 650 website and calculation platform (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact form data — name, email address, company, role, and message content when you submit a demo request, feedback, or general enquiry.
- Account data — email address, full name, and company name when you register for the calculation platform.
- Usage data — anonymised page-visit information (page path, referrer URL, UTM campaign parameters, and a one-way hash of your IP address). No raw IP addresses are stored. This data is only collected if you accept cookies.
- Calculation inputs and results — tank design inputs you enter into the platform, saved to your account on request.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use first-party cookies and browser localStorage to:
- Keep you logged in to the calculation platform (authentication cookie — strictly necessary).
- Remember your cookie consent preference.
- Record anonymised page-visit analytics when you consent (see Section 1).
We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clicking "Reject" in the cookie banner, or by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries and demo requests.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the calculation platform.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it (analytics, consent-gated).
- To authenticate and authorise your access to the platform.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be disclosed only if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Codebase Engineering or the public.
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years. Account data is retained for the duration of your account and up to 1 year after closure. Anonymised visit analytics are retained for up to 12 months.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and HttpOnly authentication tokens to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100 % secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
