These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TankCode 650 website and calculation platform (the "Service") provided by Codebase Engineering ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be legally bound by them.
2. Description of the Service
TankCode 650 is a web-based engineering calculation platform for the design of above-ground atmospheric storage tanks in accordance with API Standard 650. The Service is intended for use by qualified engineers and engineering professionals.
3. No Engineering Warranty
The calculations and outputs produced by TankCode 650 are provided as aids to engineering judgement only. They do not constitute a stamped or certified engineering design. You are solely responsible for verifying all results, applying appropriate engineering judgement, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Codebase Engineering accepts no liability for decisions made based on outputs from the Service.
4. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Permitted Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the calculation algorithms.
- Use automated scripts to scrape, bulk-download, or stress-test the Service.
- Share account credentials with others outside your licensed organisation.
- Use the Service to produce outputs you represent as independently certified engineering work.
6. Intellectual Property
All software, algorithms, user-interface designs, documentation, and branding associated with TankCode 650 are the exclusive intellectual property of Codebase Engineering. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the Service.
Your input data and saved designs remain your property. By submitting data to the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Codebase Engineering shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
